“Hate speech” is a made-up term used to justify censorship. It’s an un-American idea, used by anti-American people. It’s a marker for fascism.

This whole affair and the following discussions of whether GELLER was wrong to stage such a "provocative" event (huh?), reminded me of Natan Sharansky's "town square" test for freedom:
"If a person cannot walk into the middle of the town square and express his or her views without fear of arrest, imprisonment, or physical harm, then that person is living in a fear society, not a free society. We cannot rest until every person living in a "fear society" has finally won their freedom." (Sharansky, The Case for Democracy. 2004.)
Lively political discussion and debate used to be the life blood of our republic; now some tell the people whom they disagree with to sit down and shut up? Because it's "mean," and some may have their feelings hurt?

PS: I think the MSMedia types are going overboard out of frustration..., because Geller will neither apologize nor kowtow to their bully-like interview questions.
In fact, she returns their weakly-founded assertions that her event was "provocative," with strong accusations that remaining silent out of fear is equivalent to abject surrender to the violent element of Islam.

Sharansky had first hand knowledge of a fear society. And indeed the advice for a gun fight is always advance shooting. I'm not sure I could follow that advice. I'll never know for sure though. Geller is a hero and I hope she stalls or reverses the fascist trend regarding free speech. Only and idiot believes one has a right not to be offended. Like never being offended is even remotely possible.
