A Dog's Breakfast in the Sky
NGC6888, the Crescent Nebula, in a composite photo from an observatory on the Canary Islands. It is a bubble of effluence, 25 light years across, from a truly massive star. Really ugly. Not everything in space is beautiful. The wispy blue is quite nice, however.
Its 5,000 light years away in Cygnus.
