Belief: Left/Lying Eyes

Here, here, here and here are a sampling of what the left is reporting the turnout of the 9/12 protest in DC this past Saturday. They say about 20,000 to 30,000, perhaps three times that. Here is what the parks police said (since they have been allowed to estimate crowd size again).

It is a record…. We believe it is the largest event held in Washington, D.C., ever. *

Here are photos of the Mall on Saturday.

Here is a more rational range of estimates. Here is a video showing people going down Constitution Ave to the front of the Mall, near the Capitol, which would be to the left in this photo.

Looks like a lot of people to me.

My best guess: Two Woodstocks.*

Here is a more telling set of pictures.

This is a photo of what the million or so Obama fans left behind on Inauguration Day

Here is a photo of what the 9-12 protesters left behind on Saturday.

Sometimes a photo is indeed worth a thousand words.

* UPDATEs and corrections: The quote attributed to the Parks Police appears to have been about the 900,000 or so who attended the Inauguration, not the recent 9-12 protest. I'm down to 2/3 of a Woodstock, but less messy than Woodstock.

I can only guess he is including your blog as pathetic

I read Mr. Johnson less and less, as he seems a Warmie, and my tastes in music and his are not in synch, but I did notice that, and a photo at Hot Air. It's always good to be able to compare apples to apples. Thanks for the corrective comment.

I didn't start reading blogs until after I fully retired from the military in 2005, and LGF was probably the first one I read. I pretty much stopped reading it about a year ago. He's kind of doing an Andy Sullivan.
