Using a Hamilton quote to make excuses for this administrations complete lack of fiscal discipline is shameful. I have tremendous respect for Hamilton, and have read enough about him to feel confident in the belief that if he saw the way our government currently implements fiscal policy and spends money, he would be glad he wasn't around to have to deal with it.

I like Hamilton too. Our debt is big in real numbers but as a percentage of GDP it's about the same as it's been at least since the Depression. Nothing too good but nothing to scary either.
