On this day in 1869, women were granted the right to vote in the Wyoming Territory, the first in the United States.

John Milius wrote in Judge Roy Bean, "Teddy Roosevelt was the last great president we had and then the women got the right to vote and the country went straight to Hell." or something like that. I think universal suffrage is a good thing, however.
