This Day in the History of Getting Serious About Our Enemies

On this day in 1945, U.S. wartime food rationing of meat, butter, and other foods, ended. Those items had been going first to the troops fighting Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, our toughest opponents since 1814. Difficult for us under 60 to believe we got that serious about winning WWII.

No doubt. As a society, we've no idea what it'd be like to make every day sacrifices to support a war effort. If we ever have to, I'm afraid we wouldn't fare very well.

On another topic...as an attorney, what's your take on the Utah taser incident that's caused such a buzz on a lot of blogs?

I know there's a taser incident in Canada, but I missed the one in Utah. I'll track it down and post if I can think of anything interesting to say.

I don't know if you read Hot Air, but there was a link about it there.

OK, Mouthiness or even a general unpleasantness is not a threat to the cop justifying any action by the sheriff. This man probably should not be a cop. On the other hand, at least this victim survived the ordeal. Thanks for the link, Eric.
