This Day in the History of Happy Endings


On this day in 1836, the HMS Beagle pulled into Falmouth, England after a very long scientific sea voyage around the world. Charles Darwin, the captain's companion for the voyage, thought for about two decades about what he had observed during the voyage before publishing an important paper on the origin of species, setting out the truth of evolution.
