This Day in the History of Advancement in Armament

On this day in 1915, the first military armored vehicle called a tank, was produced in England by the Landships Committee co-founded by Winston Churchill. It was called Little Willie although it weighed 14 tons. It had no cannon or turret, riveted armor and crawled at a very slow 2 mph. But it is identifiably a tank. From small acorns great oaks grow.
