Probably true, but true experience shows that memories of passion with a person that one loves can keep that passion alive in a delightful way, even if only in the individuals' minds. The presence of the personification of past passion can keep it alive.
- Just to present a positive spin on the whole idea.

A positive spin, but just the opposite of what Lewis is saying. I never want to live in memories alone, but I do like having good memories. Thanks for the thoughtful post.
