Wow, Status Quo. They were a regular at one of the live band pubs when i was a lad. They quickly gave up the crappy, sappy pop and treated us to what might now be called grunge. the title of their classic 1973 release sums up their sound: Piledriver. Give the lads a break - they're probably old and bald and in need of a few bob!
 
I think that Pictures of Matchstick Men is about the worst song that ever got radio play but I'm really in mock high dudgeon about these songs being played in commercials. Make money as you can within the law. Never had the pleasure of listening to Piledriver.
