Light Posting Excuse
I'm going with my hunting buddies to 'scout' the area in which we drew our cow elk tags for late this year (and I guess shoot guns and then drink beer). I don't really think this is necessary, but it's a chance to see some of the good part of Colorado, the San Juan Mountains west and south of the San Louis valley, just north of New Mexico. Take it away, Diomedes.

Here's hoping that you didn't graduate at the Dick Chaney's Academy of Straight Sooting and Barbecueing!
That is exactly what I was thinking.
Have fun Roger, and try not to shoot anyone in the face! ;)
When you get back, please revisit Dr. Dean.

We shot at paper targets, et al. but not at anything live, so no chance of hitting a lawyer in the face, as I was the only lawyer. Besides Cheney did that with a shotgun. I loath shotguns.
Mike, I did revisit your comment on Dean. If you read the latest translated declassified captured documents from Iraq, I think you'll agree that the minor contact call by the 9/11 commission might need some updating. I applaud your sense of fair play, but we did strike back at the guys who plotted 9/11 almost immediately and freed Afghanistan of the harsh rule of the Taliban (although the Taliban was not completely expunged and is apparently hanging around for more ass kicking this time by a broad coalition including Germans and Canadians who apparently wouldn't want to be caught dead in Iraq).
As to connecting Iraq and al Qaeda, I'm not trying hard to do that, because our justification for finishing the Gulf War is independent of a terrorist connection or WMD. I just wonder why you are so keen to draw a distinction between al Qaeda and other Muslim extremists. I don't care to whom they have allegiance--if they want to kill Americans and take a substantial step to do that, I just want them dead. Pretty simple standard if you ask me. I personally think Mesopotamia shoud stay together as a country but I don't care if the Kurds split off (they almost have done so de facto already) but I think the Sunnis will regret creating a land locked country with no oil and we will regret the sequalae of their regret. Thanks for reading and your thoughtful comments as always.
