Zarqawi Out-takes

M 249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) in 5.56mm (.223 Winchester) (for background).

It's everywhere... a tape showing some revealing out-takes from the recent long, boring tape from the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It's not that funny that Zarqawi can't get the SAW going full auto without help, or that he's wearing New Balance tennies, or that he points the loaded SAW at his follower for a second; what's funny is that, at the very end, some other Jihadist weapons expert grabs the SAW's very hot barrel with his hand and burns himself.

Freakin' moron.

We captured the out-takes tape in a recent raid; and the Malaysia Star is reporting that we are "zooming" in on Zarqawi. That's a military term with which I am unfamiliar.

The U.S. military said on Thursday it was hot on the heels of the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, after discovering documents and an unedited video of him in a rural hideout near Baghdad.
Zarqawi was throwing all his resources into attacks in Baghdad and was probably somewhere south of the capital where U.S. forces recently launched a series of raids, U.S. military spokesman Major-General Rick Lynch told reporters.

"We believe it is only a matter of time until Zarqawi is taken down. It's not if, but when," he told reporters.
"Zarqawi is zooming in on Baghdad, we are zooming in on Zarqawi."

When they catch him, let's just hope they don't try him in Federal Court in Northern Virginia.

R,

I haven't seen the outtakes. I doubt they are as funny as those from recent Jackie Chan movies. Meanwhile, I hear that al-Zarqawi is looking a little beefy--that he is not a lean, mean fighting machine. Well, he's still mean.

I shouldn't wonder that he is wearing New Balance running shoes. I suppose he believes they will aid him in running away, but w/ all that extra weight, he may be pushing his luck.

I wonder if we are getting close to him? I hope so. If so, I don't think he will make it to N. VA.
