The Worst of both Worlds
It just hit me that the people who are lying about our benevolence regarding the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay--calling it torture when it clearly is not--accomplish two bad things. First, their lies gives the United States Military a bad reputation which it does not deserve. Second, it makes Conservatives much less willing to believe what could be future valid criticism due to the Chicken Little/Boy Who Cried Wolf nature of these ridiculous charges.
