Real Brownshirts

Ignorant lefties often call the single time Republicans used their Constitutional rights to free speech and assembly to enforce a statute (when they demanded, loudly, to be let in to observe the recount in Broward County, Florida in 2000) a brownshirt* moment. Since then it's been pretty much all lefty brownshirt moments, the latest of which was the shouting down of David Horowitz at Emory University this week.

There are real brownshirts in the world, however, although they seem to wear black or dark blue now, and some of them are in Venezuela breaking up a student demonstrations for Democracy in Caracas. Gateway Pundit has the story, photos and video. Despite the Sean Penn seal of approval, Chavez might just be the next lefty dictator to ruin a nation.

*The brownshirts were street thug 'police' of the Nazi party, formally called the Sturmabteilung, the SA, led by un-closeted homosexual Ernst Röhm, who was arrested and later murdered in the 'night of the long knives' purge which started on June 30, 1934. They were the precursors of the SS. Brownshirts like all the Nazis were socialist, so the term should be reserved for lefty thugs for historical accuracy. That's Röhm below second from the right, next to Hitler, in this portrait of the Beer Hall Putsch defendants.
